Pokhara, the second largest city in the country, attracts visitors with its unbeatable natural wonders and tolerant atmosphere. The lakeside arrangement charms visitors, with colorful wooden boats bobbing in the waters and a backdrop of jagged hillsides and snowy peaks of the whole Annapurna Range.
Poon Hill Trek
Poon Hill trek is one of the best short treks in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Starting from the minimum altitude of 1025m (Birethanti), the track takes you to the height of 2,860m Ghorepani and then 3,210m Poon Hill; that welcomes you with a wonderful view of early morning sun waves striking Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and 20 other high peaks of the Annapurna region.
This program is specially recommended for those people who aren't able to do long trek and want to taste real Himalayas scenery in short duration and in easy track also named as Royal trek ( Prince Charles and his 90 person entourage had explored this route in the early eighties) . The trek provide opportunity to explore meaningful cultural experiences, lakes, glorious Himalayas, hillside rice terraces, caves, rivers and temples also.
