    Short description about elephant!!

    Elephants in Nepal Elephant Day Care
    Elephants have long been part of Nepalese culture and tradition. Elephants play an important role in religious (mainly Hindu) beliefs in Nepal and there is a long history of domestication particularly related to religious use.

    In Hinduism : the god Ganesha’s head is that of an elephant, and the «blessings» of a temple elephant are highly valued. The Asian elephant is second only to its African cousin as the largest of all land animals. Asian elephants are rather long-lived, with a maximum recorded life span of 86 years. Enjoy and have an amazing moment with this beautiful and clever animal.

    Common name : Asian or Indian

    ElephantClass : Mammalia

    Height : 2.5 to 3.0 meter (At The Shoulder)

    Length : 5.5 to 6.4 meter

    Weight : Males – 5,000 kg – Females – 3,000 kg

    Gestation period : between 18 and 22 months.

    If you love to spend a wonderful day having intimate time with our elephants and get incredible experience, join our Elephant Care Program in Sapana Village Lodge. Walking through the natural park during sunrise, watching elephants having cool bath and join swimming, joining Mahouts (Caretakers) for cleaning the enclosures, making elephant candy (Kuchi), feeding them from the respecting distance and help Mahouts to collect elephant food are the highlights of the tour.

    Tour Itinerary

    Day 1,Arrival in Kathmandu

    Our representative will welcome you at TIA( Trivuwan International Airport) and drive you to the hotel at Kathmandu, Stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel. 

    Day 2,Drive to Chitwan National Park

    After breakfast at hotel, We will drive to Chitwan National Park (6 hours drive). At the evening we will have candle light dinner at Elephant Chain-free coral with the view of playing elephants and stay overnight at Hotel. 

    Day 3,Elephant bush walk and jeep safari

    We will start our day with a bush walk with elephants. Early morning (6-6:30 am) we will start walk together with elephants, Mahouts(elephant take carer) & English speaking guide to feel elephant from closest distance for around 1.5 hours. We will back for breakfast . At the afternoon after lunch we will leave for open jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park. At evening, Come back to hotel and stay overnight.

    Day 4,Bath and feed elephants

    Today, at 11:00 am, we will bath with the elephant at river(30 mins). After bath, we will prepare elephant food with Mahouts and feed them, stay overnight at hotel. 

    Day 5,Drive to Kathmandu

    After breakfast, we will drive to Kathmandu. Free evening. Stay overnight in hotel.

    Day 6,Depature to onward destination
